On to the semis...
Ok, I've been a little bitter in the past week or so and so have not been keeping you up to date on the playoffs. So, a quick breakdown of what we have now...
In the West, we have Edmonton and San Jose and Anaheim and Colorado. I'd like to see Edmonton come out of this series; they're outmatched, but not so much as they were against Detroit and look what happened there. Plus, I hate San Jose. Dallas has beat up on Edmonton so many times in the playoffs, year after year, that you just start to feel sorry for them after awhile! Colorado on the other hand are getting their butts handed to them with losses of 5-0 and 3-0 against a rookie goaltender, not to mention the fact that it's embarrassing to lose to any of the California teams. Oh, wait, that's a personal feeling and not an unbiased sporting opinion, California actually has some pretty good teams this year.
In the East, there's Ottawa/Buffalo and Carolina/NJ. I rather like Buffalo and Jersey, but both of the opening games were insane affairs with Buffalo winning 7-6 and Carolina winning 6-0, so we'll see.
Oddly, in the East, the 1,2,3 and 4 seeds came out of the first round. In the West, it was the 5,6,7 and 8.
