Stuff

We took Brandon back to the eye doctor on Thursday, and it turns out he's got a lazy eye. I did too when I was in kindergarten, but he's got it easier than I did; he's only got to have an eye patched for two hours a day! He hates it, too, but oh well. Gotta do it. We're going this weekend to get his glasses, so we'll see how that goes.

The Stars gave away a point Saturday night. Turco played fine, but the skaters were turning the puck over all over the place and couldn't hit the net if their lives depended on it. But still, they had managed a 2-2 score. Then, with about six and a half minutes left in the game, Jason Arnott took a clean hit along the boards and suffeted a nasty little gash under his eye that apparently caused him to completely lose his mind. Granted, the entire side of his face was covered in blood, but really. Control yourself. Anyway, the upshot of all that was that all ten guys became entangled in a small knot and penalties ensued, the most notable being a 5-minute major and two minute minor to Arnott. Now, the thing with major penalties in hockey is that the opposing team can score as many times as they want in that five minutes, as opposed to a minor penalty that ends if the other team scores. So. Here we are with less than seven minutes left and Arnott's earned seven penalty minutes. Now, the minor penalty runs first and there was no score, but Colorado did score halfway through the major. And since it was a major, the Stars were still one man down negating any chance of a comeback. So, they lost 3-2. Pththtth.

Our PC is currently at Chris' house, undergoing...something. Upgrades, I think. I don't know, it's Mike's computer. He's going insane having to use mine; God forbid he have to use a Mac. He'll live.
