Christmas and good rock music

All the gods bless radio--the Eagle is back on 97.1. I am a happy, happy, happy girl. The Eagle rules.

Christmas is almost here...I'm happy to be done. A little cooking to do, then I won't have to think about it any more. I even finished Mike's shopping for him today. No more no more no more. I don't like people, and there's lots of people in stores now. Yukky.

I baked and decorated sixty-one dozen cookies to fill orders last week. I never want to see another cookie again. Ever.

Um...I can't think anymore. the holidaze has fried my brain. Ta.

The Salmon of Doubt

We got an air hockey table last weekend. That's lots of fun, but now there's always kids in our garage. We really need to finish the cabinets in there.

I washed my car today. Outside in the driveway. That's really not the kind of thing one should be able to do halfway into December, but there you go.

I just finished reading The Salmon of Doubt, which is a wonderful compilation of writings gathered off of Douglas Adams' hard drives after his death. It was quite a wonderful book but it made me sad on two counts...one being that this book came out it 2002 and I only just now found out about it, and also because I realised that I still miss Douglas Adams tremendously. He was taken from us entirely too soon.

I know where my towel is.

I recently stumbled across a site that has EVERY Christmas song you could EVER WANT, ever. All of them. I got Santa Claus and His Old Lady, The 12 Days of Christmas with Bob and Doug MacKenzie, Holidaze and lots more. There's real Christmas songs too, not just funny ones. And they're all FREE, here.

I still haven't started Christmas cards. I thought about trying to find a good Saturnalia card instead, but it seems that's the kind of thing you have to special order... and speaking of ordering, I still have to order the prints of the kids pictures...

Autumn's Birthday

Autumn's birthday party was yesterday, and between the gift cards and the cash (and this is not counting all the other gifts!) she got around one hundred fifty dollars.

I was maybe a little jealous.

And the gift cards were all to Target.

So we went today and bought a Nintendo DS, and she still had ten dollars left. Wish I had ten dollars.

She got a Baby Alive (which is a little creepy) and used up all the food and diapers by Saturday night. I haven't seen or heard it since.

She got a puzzle that's already missing a piece.

She also got lots of other stuff. And she's still got Christmas coming...three times. Sheesh.
