Dirt is icky

The Stars are now tied for second place and are only 5 points back of Anaheim for first with two games in hand. Go Stars! I need everyone to bleed green with me for the next month or so...

I spent a hundred and sixty dollars on bras today that damn well better last forever. Geez.

I find the older I get the more aware of my flaws I am...I'm cynical, willful, stubborn, unapologetic, proud and independent to a fault. Probably too flippant and blithe, too. But guess what? I really don't care. I like me. So don't try to change me.

Our heating element went out on our dryer, so for the time being I've been drying our clothes in the garage. Which was fine until our own little shamal dumped tons of dust here Saturday. Seriously. There were actual drifts of dirt in the garage. It even got in the living room windows that were closed and locked. It was icky.

Offense? What's that?

The Stars scored seven goals in their win yesterday. Seven! That's not a total over four or five games, that's one game. So they do have some offense- maybe they'll remember that in the next month or so.

I murdered another mixer last week, so we went out and got a new one this weekend. It's a Kitchenaid Artisan mixer. It's way more than we could afford and I'll probably be making payments on it for the next year, but I've been through two stand mixers in the past four years so I really needed to spend the money on a good one. Also I bought the extended warranty...

Ah, spring...

For those of you who live in less fortunate climes, I thought I'd share with you what I did this afternoon...

I washed my car in the driveway. Got a little sweaty so I cleaned out the pump in the pond. I dug around in the garden and pulled some weeds. Played in the backyard with the dogs. It was nice. A little on the warm side, but what can you do?

More boring stuff

I have apparently hit a long boring stretch of life, as I've had nothing to write about for weeks! My life has become one long bit of sameness.

Brandon lost the lens in his glasses and it took three days to find it...finally located it under (under!) the carpet in the hallway. Glad we don't have to buy a new one. His birthday party is in two weeks and I haven't even started thinking about it, much less do I have a gift for him. He says he needs to get rid of some of his shirts...he showed me his shirt drawer and I see why now, he can't even close the thing. Sounds like a weekend project. They all still fit, too.

I straightened Autumn's hair the other day and she really liked it; too bad it took a really long time. She needs a trim, too, and we haven't gotten around to it yet.

Only two more car payments to go!
