Roar! ROAR!!! Yay!

Guess what? Ed sent us a Roboreptile! It's loads of fun. I played with it for a long time yesterday, even after it bit me. You can set him up to guard an area, too, so I set him in front of the barely open bedroom door whete the cats hang out (bet you can see where this is going) and told him to guard it. It was funny. The cats don't like him much. Fun fun silly willy!!

It's cold and icy today. I don't want to go to work. I was hoping that the school would at least delay opening, but no such luck. Oh well. I am happy that it's FINALLY cold, though. It was seventy-eight degrees yesterday.

24 days till Christmas!

Oh Santa...I can't wait for you to come...

Dear Santa,

How are you? I hope you had a good year. I'm your biggest fan, you know. I just wanted to write early this year to remind you that I've been mostly really good this year! I've destroyed almost nothing, burned very little, and blown nothing at all up! (That thing with the dry ice didn't count. If you saw that, I bet you laughed anyway, right?)I haven't resorted to physical violence against anyone who didn't have it coming to them, and I didn't steal one single thing this year. Anyway, here's my list.

Roboreptile (or Roboraptor!)
Stars tickets
a paintball gun
a flat screen TV
a new sword (a good one, made in Spain)
a faster processor
a Corvette Z06
a winning lotto ticket
Anduril
a bow and target arrows
a dartboard
the killer rabbit stapler
some pants for work that fit

Thanks!! Say hi to Vixen for me. She's my favorite reindeer!

Love
Jenny

PS We're having a bit of an ant perblem, so try not to leave cookie crumbs on the floor like last year. Thanks!!

Happy late Thanksgiving

I guess I'm shooting for one post every two weeks...

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving, the day we celebrate bringing our nasty European diseases to the natives. Or something. Hope you got to spend it with family and friends...

Started bringing out the Christmas stuff yesterday. It appears that Christmas may be too much for Shere Khan to handle; with so much new stuff to get into he's been beside himself! I also discovered that we need more hangers for our Christmas lights. Our house is only half strung. I think the entire neighborhood were
on their collective roofs yesterday afternoon.

I've been trying to get everyone together before Christmas but everyone is busy the weekend I had planned. We may need to do some rescheduling here...

I'm almost done shopping...I at least know what I still need to buy, so that's a step in the right direction. Christmas shopping is a killer. Especially for people like me who hate to shop.

Autumn's birthday party was this weekend. She got cash from several people, and as a result, she's got more money than Mike and I put together. She actually hasn't spent it all yet either...

Happy birthday to me

GUESS WHAT????? My kids' doctor has begun accepting our insurance!!! Hooray! Yay! I'm so happy!!! They've had to visit someone else the past couple of times, and while there's nothing wrong with her, she's not Dr. Joslin. But now, yay! We get to see Dr. Joslin again!

Brandon's teacher recommended today that he be tested for ADHD. It was only a matter of time, of course, but there you go. So, fun fun silly willy in our future.

Um, what else? Oh, yesterday was my birthday, so I get today and tomorrow off. Yay me! I made cookies ALL DAY (orders for twenty-five dozen this year, which translates into $175 for me, but also means staying up ALL NIGHT Monday decorating cookies...)today, but now I'm all done, so hopefully tomorrow I can just sit around all day. That sounds like fun. Mike bought me The Sims Pets expansion pack, so I'll be wasting lots of time playing with that for the next few weeks. No Roboraptor or Roboreptile, though, darn it!

The Stars lost again last night, against the Islanders, no less! You know, the team with the, um, collective mental issues. After the stellar start, Dallas is only doing so-so lately. Let's get it in gear, guys.

sorry....

OK, so it's been awhile. But I've been busy! Hockey season, you know.

My Stars lost last night. The good news is that a month into the season, it's only their third loss. That's a ridiculously good record; anyway, they really should have lost their last game, but due to horrid officiating they won. So I guess it all turns out in the end.

I can't believe that it's almost time for Autumn's birthday! She's having a luau party this year, which ought to be fun. I really need to start getting stuff for it so I'm not spending all my money the week before.

The kids bought this new computer game a few weeks back and we can't get it to install. It worked just fine on the one at work though, so there must be something wrong with ours. It says "entry point not found" when you try to run it. I've never heard of that one.

These next few weeks will be easy for me--I get off early every day this week (but I have training Saturday, so that spoils it a little), next week I only work three days and I'm off Thursday and Friday (happy birthday to me-if you love me and have a hundred dollars laying around, you can buy me a Roboreptile. Roar!!) And the week after that is Thanksgiving, so only three days that week, and then I can start listening to Christmas music!! I love Christmas music. Yay!!
